March 1—March 6, 2012 Ameriprise Tucson Camp
Join the Athletes Lounge Professional Triathletes in Tucson, Arizona, for six days of world-class training and coaching. If you've ever wanted to focus on triathlon the way the pros do, this camp will fulfill those dreams. Over six days Chris Boudreaux, Damian Hill, Chris Bagg, and the AL support team will give your spring training the kind of boost from which you'll reap rewards all year. The camp will give you an opportunity to ride famous training routes around Tucson (Mt Lemmon, Gates Pass, and others), to run in Sagauro National Park, and get in a big chunk of early season swimming, all under professional guidance. Don't worry about "having to keep up," since all rides and runs will be differentiated (your coaches will split groups) and sagged, so everybody will receive generous attention. At night the instruction continues, as the pros give lectures and lessons on subjects such as race pacing, balancing sport and life, training and racing nutrition, and key race logistical tips. After the lectures we'll focus on recovery, as athletes receive access to a pair of RecoveryPumps in their hotel rooms.
You can find out more about the camp here and sign up by calling 503-477-5906, or by emailing retail@athleteslounge.com. Price for the camp is $2000 and is all-inclusive (except airfare), covering lodging, meals, and instruction.
Open Water Swim: Starting mid-July Athletes Lounge will again host free weekly swims in preparation for the Athletes Lounge Training Races and The Portland Triathlon. Swims will take place at Cathedral Park in St. John's on Wednesday early evenings. Please check back to find out more.
